There're a few more of the manufacturers: Samsaung's Semiconductor and HUAWEI's HiSilicon are the most wedely used and stand in fourth and fifth places of SOC manufacturer. You can go to your system browser and search www.google.com and on the search bar, you can type the name of the application you want to use and download applications from all developers and you can choose the version of the application you want to use.Most of the application on play store are free. So,installing applications on android os is really simple and easy.If you wish, you can download the mod/ cracked version (premium unlocked/ Vip apps) on android OS.
