How do you know if your EQ is high or low?"

How do you know if your EQ is high or low?"

Today, it is accepted that EQ is more important for success than IQ. Although some artists, athletes scholars are talented enough to be called “Geniuses” in their respective fields,  when their EQ is low, they are not as successful as they expected. You  have seen that success doesn't last long. So it is important to have a high EQ.

You can check whether you have a high EQ or low with the following facts

1. Intrapersonal skills

Intrapersonal skill is the ability to control  emotions. Those who say, "I can't control myself when I'm angry, and I have to respond if someone insults me" have a weakness in this Intrapersonal skill. Since they are only human beings, there are various emotions ; getting angry, being sad, heart broken,  having too much fun ,depression  ect ,. When these things happen, you need to be aware of yourself and control these emotions in time. When you can't control your emotions , you feel uncomfortable at work and relationships are also be damaged.

2. Interpersonal skills

Interpersonal skill is the ability to communicate with others. There are many things to consider here.  let's say, all the employees of an office are corrupt and taking bribes Only one of  them does not do such things at all, so everyone hates him. Others don't make him as friends. Can you say that this is” low EQ”?

In addition, Someone have many friends, being able to give or being able to feed ,telling funny jokes too. As such, is his EQ level high?

If someone is the kind of person who has a comfortable relationship with his superiors and is humble with his subordinates, is his EQ level high?

It is easy for people to pity for those who are lower than themselves. It is easy to praise someone who is more raise than themselves., It is difficult for them to accept people who are equal to him and  who are not too far from themselves.

In fact, high interpersonal skill is the ability to treat other people with respect, and how much you can think about others.

He also has a strong belief, on the other side, he also respects the belief that is different from him. We accept that all people have their own values. He does not treat anyone as superior or inferior to anyone. How will he be in every matter, Why does he do this? They never look at others from their own point of view. If you have this kind of quality, you must have high interpersonal skill.

3. Flexibility & Adaptability

Smartness is how quickly you adapt to a new situation. It's also called how fast you can learn a subject. In today's era where today and tomorrow are not very different, this quality becomes important. If you can't change easily the way you know and  you've been doing, and if it's too difficult to settle into a new situation, you need to be able to fix it.

4. Self confident & open minded

Even though they are the same height, when one of them is in a low mood, he does not hesitate a little, very sensitive. When you told him that he was a short man , he replied very upset.

The other is not upset. Even before others said that, he was the first to say that he was not tall. Because he is not weak about his height. It is well known that appearance does not determine the quality of a person.

Some advertise themselves too much how clever they are. They want others to know that they are great, they want to be praised, they want to be respected. These are lack of self-confidence, showing his despair.

5. Stress management

Anyone who wants to be successful in life will inevitably face stress. The greater the responsibility, the more people who come follow and, the more the stress. I think I've seen people who have talent but can't handle that stress and fail to success. So, how much people  control stress? It is important to be able to give an outlet. They suicided for nothing. They feel great, wasting time and chasing after pleasure is a sign that they can not handle stress.

 6. General mood

Once upon a time, while an old man was sleeping, his grandchildren jokingly rubbed a very strong-smelling cream on his beard. When the old man woke up and smelled badly. “From where did this bad smile come? When I go to the kitchen, there is bad smell. When I go out to the front of the house, there is bad smell, It smells everywhere, “ he said. “ Is this smell everywhere?” In fact, he didn't notice the smell of the cream on his beard and thought it was the smell of the whole world.

In reality, I have seen such people. When I talk to them, I never find them wrong. The world is just unfair, they talk like it's full of bad people. They do not respect for the other person, They also lack of confidence. When you look at them normally, their faces are hard,  rarely smile, They can't be happy with life.

I want to tell you something for those people.

Deaf Helen's speech at a university was about happiness and being thankful for what she has in her life

Check it out with above these (6) points. If you think it's still weak, try to fix it.

To be more aware of your own feelings, Meditate to gain more control.

To respect others, read more books to learn to empathize especially fiction.

Don't hold onto anything. Things are always changing.

Don't complain about what you don't have yet. Appreciate what you have. Instead of being bitter about things you can't change, accepting them as they are will make your life happier.

To be a good teacher

 To be a good teacher

In the following paragraphs, "Teacher" means teachers. "Student" also represents a student.

1. The success of a good school does not only produce outstanding person, every student must be strived to grow daily.

2. Every child is like a pearl stuck in an oyster shell. The responsibility of  teacher is to find those pearl flowers.

3. The difference between geniuses and idiots is not intelligence. The difference is because of their  self-confidence, a strong mind and good character. The purpose of teachers is to nurture and transform the students into the owners of these mental abilities.

4. The teacher's responsibility is to train the students to know curiosity , to think deeply to analyze and review. It also includes students' lifelong learning skills; criticize the information and the ability to divide and scan these.

5. Every child has a strong desire to know, the desire to explore everything, they are willing to step up and think and be involved. Teachers must motivate students these minds and train them to be stronger. After that, the skills and knowledge that children learn for a lifetime. The ability to critically analyze and digest information should be trained.

6. If the teacher's punishment and criticism were correct, almost every student could accept it.

7. Students are living children. The teacher's teaching system and style should not be fixed according to the  guiding book. There is a big difference between each student. The teaching style of the teachers should be different depending on the students.

8. Criticizing a child is not finding faults and weaknesses of children but to correct the mistakes and weaknesses of children. It should also be to find strengths and motivate them out.

9. Let's say about a teacher who teaches 100 students. His goal is to achieve 100% success. Each student contributes only 1%.: 1% if successful and 1% if failure .But for every student's parents, a student is 100% for their family, 100% if he  success or failure . Therefore,  we cannot exclude any 1% student because we are teachers.

10. All students are  the masters of the school and also the masters of the classroom. They are the masters of the learners. They are the masters of their lives. So our lords, all the duties and obligations of masters,   the rules and knowledge of the masters must be cultivated, as well as the desire to depend on one another must be cut off.

11. The responsibility of teachers is to educate students, a bigger responsibility than that is to nurture them into a good person. We must prioritize being a good person rather than being an outstanding person. In other words, to cultivate a good, clever person.

12. Teachers must be trained to have a discerning eye. They have to learn to find the strengths of the students, for example, a beautiful letter from their essay, a unique behavior among daily activities. Their sports, art, music, research and development leadership skills, management skills, etc- must be recognized  as soon as the children show. Give praise. Cultivate them.

I will always respect all the teachers....I will try.

Thoughts and Views 🙏

 Thoughts and Views 🙏

Once upon a time, an old lady moved into a slum. Next door to the house she moved to, there is a small, naïve family, a widow and her two children.. The old lady said, "I can't afford it. When I get here.. I'll have to deal with people like this.." She thought to herself and was disappointed.

At that  night, as usual, the neighborhood lights suddenly went out. When the power went out, the woman looked for her candle box to light a candle. After a while, she found it.. Not long after she met... she heard someone knocking on her door.

When she opened the door, she saw a child next door. The child asked in an excited voice, "Unty, Do you have candles ?"

The old lady thought, "So poor that they can't even buy a candle... but I'm worried that he'll come and ask for it every now and then. I don't need to give it." She thought to herself, "I don't have any," and closed the door. At that time, the child smiled and said, "I guess... you just moved home, so you didn't have enough candles, so you would be scared in the dark, so I give you a candle"  he took out a small candle from a patchwork pocket. The old lady  was ashamed of herself. She was so speechless that she couldn't say anything.

Some are jealous of those who are better than themselves, and treat those who are lower than themselves, the perception and reality will be wrong.

Personality is more important than physical appearance. It is more important to be happy than to have possessions. Although he is rich, he is often taken for granted. Some may be a poor but they have giving hands.

You don't need to be rich to be a giving hand,

You just need to have a noble attitude.

A lot of rich people without divine intelligence are  lack of compassion...

They looked at each other with suspicious eyes...disappearing compassion.

At the society we live in, Only those with money are treated with respect.

If you don't have money, you can't even breathe.

They want to feed the rich people more,

It's natural that they don't care for those who are starving

Not everyone is-----

Research Experience or Dancing with Ghosts

I have been a university teacher for over 18 years. During this period, I studied abroad (in Japan) for 5 years and obtained my doctoral degree. While studying for a doctorate in Japan, I had the experience of reviewing some master's books.

Later, while working at Myanmar universities, in 2016, I became a Visiting Professor at Vienna University in Austria. Therefore, both as a student and as a teacher at motherland and abroad, I had many teaching and learning experiences. From these experiences, I would like to share my experience of checking research papers.

Before going to Japan, I thought I already knew about research. But when I got to the university in Japan, I realized that this assumption is not completely correct.  I realized that I didn't really know the research process there.

The reason why I said this was that students in foreign universities were quite critical in teaching and learning. In addition to this, there were creativity in doing research. As for me, I encountered some difficulties among these students right after I arrived in Japan. The main thing was that I didn't know how to speak or discuss. I knew the topics, but I didn't know what to talk about.

When I was in Myanmar, if I could ask questions that others couldn't answer, I thought it was good. In fact, these questions and discussions were the topics that the person reading and teaching the Bible wants to talk about (or his proposed objectives), questions (Research Questions), Accepted concepts (Theory), I didn't notice that I didn't know the hypothesis. Simply put, it starts with discussions and questions that go beyond the presenter's research area. I have named this research field and framework as the character of research papers.

Every methodological research book (or paper) has the research framework or idea of the research paper. However, if you copy and use other people's texts without knowing this fact, your paper will become a very uncomfortable writing. According to the data, it is consistent with your research, but it is not consistent with the research ideas, so it is often a very uncomfortable document to read.

I didn't know if I would write my research book with the imagination of these people. I had to study a lot to find out. I originally went to Japan to immediately attend a doctorate course. However, I realized that I did not yet have the research procedures and habits, so I decided to go back to another master's course for a year as a research student.

At that time, I had already obtained a master's degree in international relations from Yangon University. However, I started from another master's degree course and did it again. So, 6 years after my first master's degree, I got my second master's degree in 2008. From there, I went on to pursue a doctorate degree.

When I started my doctoral course, my supervisor appointed me as his teaching assistant, so I became a Teaching Assistant. Since then, I have had the opportunity to supervise and evaluate master's books in my spare time.

The first book I checked was a book written by a Vietnamese student. He had compiled a book on the difficulties faced by farmers in the agricultural sector in Vietnam. However, when I started looking through his book, I found that he had little personal effort and no personal research spirit. The book took a little of the letters written by others, This book was a bit small, and I found that he wrote very little of it himself. I saw that other people's imaginations are just a group of thoughts and ideas that didn't have his own style.

In the same way, the Master's degree books, I have checked many doctoral dissertations... and I am still checking them. However, most of the books are written with ideas written by others rather than writing with their own spirit. I would say dancing with the imagination. Other people's letters here and there, This is because there are a lot of words taken together in this one paragraph.

In other words,  It should be said that there is no personal effort (Originality) and personal style. When I reviewed the letter I wrote in the honors class, I found that it was very weak in (Originality). Recently, good research has been found in Myanmar.

In particular, writing a book is about researching one's own thoughts and ideas. personal findings, You have to write and present the information that you have searched for yourself in a way that you understand in your own style.

To do this is to -

1) You need to know the research process.

2) Other people's research approaches. research methods, writing and presentation, It is necessary to study the information used in advance. Because of this need, studying research procedures, I have presented the need to search and read literature (literature review).

Don't fight back at those who attack you.

Only the crow dared to climb on the hawk and pecked it. If this happens, the crow did not waste its time and energy, and did not attack back the crow. The hawk spread its wings and continued to fly higher into the sky. When it reaches an area with  low-oxygen , the crow was deprived of oxygen and collapsed  on itself.

Take a lesson from hawk. Don't fight with people like crows. Just keep going higher.

Don't fight back at those who attack you.

Fly   as high as you can.

It will fall  on its own.

Traditional Burmese handcraft "Pathein Umbrellas"

 Traditional Burmese handcraft "Pathein Umbrellas"

Curious adventurers! Do you know about Pathein Umbrellas, which are a traditional Myanmar handicraft?

I'd like to describe the history of Pathein Umbrellas, step by step instructions on how to make them, and how they are used. If you haven't heard about them yet, continue reading this content. For those who are already familiar, please read it to see if it aligns with your knowledge.

"Interesting History of Pathein Umbrellas"

About 130 years ago, there was a umbrella maker named U Shwe Sa in the palace of Thipao Min. At that time, umbrellas made of specially designed cloth were only allowed to be used by the royal family and some privileged individuals. These umbrellas were used as an insignia and ceremonial decorations during welcoming ceremonies.

In 1885, after the British captured Yadanapone Palace, U Shwe Sa had to flee and go into hiding. He eventually arrived at Pathein, a city located about 700 kilometers away on the Ayeyarwady River Delta. In Pathein, U Shwe Sa started a small umbrella-making workshop to make a living. That's why the umbrellas based in Pathein Town are called Pathein Umbrellas. According to historical records, they began producing umbrellas that became famous as "Pathein Umbrellas."

Later, U Shwe Sa handed over the technology and secrets of his umbrella business to his son U Saw. U Saw, in turn, passed it on to others interested in preserving this traditional heritage. This is the history of Pathein Umbrellas.

"Steps to Make Quality Pathein Umbrellas"

It takes 56 steps to create a quality Pathein Umbrella, and the process usually spans up to a week. The two main components crucial to the production are the quality of the bamboo used for the frame and the type of cloth selected. It is recommended to use bamboo that has been cut during the rainy season. The wood must be soaked in natural water for approximately two months to bleach it. These initial steps are important for removing insects from the wood and bamboo. The glue used to make Pathein Umbrellas is made from cassava, a mixture of fig liquid and glutinous rice powder. In the final step, sesame oil is used to color the sun-dried umbrellas.

Color designs vary depending on the region of export, and different designs are painted on the umbrellas. For export to Mandalay, commonly used color designs resemble those used in the royal court, including two colors, three colors, flowers, and little butterfly pictures. Umbrellas that will be sent to Bagan are painted in old-fashioned dull colors, which are also highly popular.

"Where Pathein Umbrellas Are Used"

Pathein umbrellas are mainly used to decorate homes, hotels, and amusement parks. They are popular gift items bought by foreign tourists visiting Myanmar.

The traditional Pathein Umbrella business in Myanmar has been carried out by ancestors since ancient times. Currently, those involved in producing Pathein Umbrellas face difficulties in preserving this cultural heritage. It is necessary to sustain and preserve Myanmar's Pathein umbrella industry, which is valued internationally.

Plastic: A disaster of the nature Part-II

The rivers and streams are blocked with plastic waste, and the water is no longer clean. Sometimes it may be poisonous and unfit to drink.

It is necessary to know how to use plastic waste in a systematic manner. Use less plastic according to the motto (reduce, reuse, recycle). REUSE By re-inventing and using it, it can be protected and preserved to a great extent. Without using plastics as much as possible, we can use paper, baskets, tin cans instead of plastics. By replacing things like iron cups, it will be possible to reduce the use of plastic considerably. Used plastics should also be recycled rather than thrown away easily. For example, reusing plastic bags that were used in the previous shopping. plastic water bottles, coffee bags, milk carton. Things like tires are recyclable. Adding soil to water bottles and replanting plants and flowers, A basket made with coffee bags, mat weaving. In technologically advanced countries, milk cans are used to make wooden sticks. Using tires to make various items for children to play with, etc., will reduce plastic pollution by being able to recycle plastic waste. In the United States, waste is divided into two categories: kitchen waste and recyclable waste. Therefore, the waste can be carefully separated and the plastic waste can also be used in the recycling process.

Most of the tourists also do careless and disorderly actions, causing an awful mess in public travel places. Garbage is often found on the streets. Such disorderly actions should not be done. Some travelers simply throw away the garbage after eating from the car. Their reason is that there is no trash bin, so they throw it away. The main problem is not the lack of trash cans. They don't want to keep the garbage until they reach the place where the garbage can is. By keeping the garbage until it reaches the garbage can and throwing it properly, you will be able to help make the environment beautiful.

Preserve our environment. It is a very beautiful and amazing creature. However, this should not be muddled with plastic waste. Messing around with plastics is a big destruction that can be very harmful to nature and our planet. This is why plastic wastes must be disposed of in a proper manner only where it is to be disposed of. And we should use of recycled materials and reduce use of plastics as much as possible. Isn't it true that we must first protect our world by doing so if we want to pass to our new generation a better place to survive.

Plastic: A disaster for nature Part-I

 Plastic: A disaster for nature

Plastic is one of the essential things used by humans in modern times. Many people like plastic because it is lightweight and easy to use. Because it is easy to use, plastics are easily thrown away after use. What kind of negative effects can happen due to disorganized disposal of plastic waste? How can it affect human lifestyles?

First of all, if we have to talk about plastic, we want to start talking about the people who invented it. About 1907 years ago, Leo Baekeland, a Belgian chemist, started producing plastic. After the development of various scientific fields, in the early 1960s, Sten Gustaf Thulin, a Swedish engineer, was able to invent the crisp bags that we use today. What those people produced are things that have been recorded in history. The production of crisp bags was made so that the public could easily carry their belongings. However, many people value these things only for a short time, and when they throw them away, they don't throw them away properly, which is why we are currently experiencing unwanted negative effects in our world.

When disposing of plastic waste, many people throw it where they find it without any rules. I don't know what is going on in the minds of the people who threw them out. What a terrible action! Think carefully. Even though it was a simple act for those who disposed them, he didn't think about what would happen through it. Just throwing trash. He will think nothing. That action is a very thoughtless action. You may ask why. If we have to answer, when you recklessly throw such garbage on the side of the road, that garbage can be blown away by the wind and go wherever it wants. Animals might come into contact with the garbage. Sticking to plants and things like that; It can even become environmental pollution after the bad smell is covered in the environment. I don't think the unruly person knows what those things can happen. Here's what a little piece of plastic trash can do. Thus, the acts of unruly throwing plastic waste are common in urban areas. In urban areas, the municipality comes to collect the garbage, but it is easy for them to dump the garbage into the back alleys. Sometimes the municipal garbage can't be picked up, so they throw the garbage wherever they find it, and before long it becomes a huge dump. Very disappointing!!

Burning plastic waste is also one of the things that should not be done. How can it be affected? As for how it can be affected, burning those plastic wastes can spread unwanted pungent odors in the environment. People who inhale those smells can get sick. Due to the burning of that plastic, carbon dioxide gas spreads into the air and can harm the living things. If the amount of carbon dioxide in the air increases, humans may face respiratory and disease problems.

Do not throw plastic waste into the drain. A gutter is something designed to allow water to flow easily. Because garbage is easily thrown into the drains, when it rains, the drains are blocked with garbage and without water flow, the water rises to the streets and many floods occur. As garbage washed from the canals, lakes, river flow into the ocean, small aquatic animals were harmed and their habitats can be destroyed.

Secret of happiness Part-II

Earlier, since you were happy but never really content or satisfied, boredom and misery overcame you and you became sad again. Only if you learn to be content, can you truly enjoy the bliss of happiness."

Samuel, Timothy and Xander realized their mistake and went back home. They saw how lucky they were to have the gifts for which they had once craved. Samuel felt grateful for being the owner of a mansion and began taking good care of it. Timothy began to plough his land diligently so as to have a good harvest in time. Xander too learnt to appreciate his pretty wife's chores‌ in the house and her devotion towards him. Remembering that happiness and content went side by side, never again did the brothers take their blessings for granted. And thus, they lived happily ever after.

Secret of Happiness Part-I

 The Secret of Happiness:

Once upon a time, there were three brothers named Samuel, Timothy and Xander, who lived in a cottage by the woods. They were honest and hardworking. Every day, they would venture into the forest to fell wood. Later, they would sell it in the market where it would fetch a decent price. Thus, their life continued in this manner.

However, the brothers were always sad and morose. Even though they lived a good life, they were unhappy. Each one hankered for something or the other and would pine for it.

One day, while Samuel, Timothy and Xander were returning home from the woods carrying their bundle of logs, they saw an old haggard woman bent low with a sack on her back. As they were kind and compassionate, the brothers immediately approached the poor woman and offered to carry the sack all the way to her home. She smiled and expressed her gratefulness, while replying that the sack actually contained apples that she had collected in the forest. Samuel, Timothy and Xander took turns in carrying the sack, and at last, when they reached the woman's home, they were very tired indeed.

Now, this old woman was no ordinary person and had magical powers. Pleased with the brothers' kind and selfless nature, she asked them whether there was anything she could help them with, as a reward.

"We are not happy, and that has become our greatest cause of concern," replied Samuel. The woman asked what would make them happy. Each brother spoke of a different thing that would please him.

"A splendid mansion with plenty of servants would make me happy. There is nothing more that I would want," said Samuel.

"A big farm with lots of harvest would make me happy. Then I could be rich without having to worry," said Timothy.

"A beautiful wife would make me happy. Every day, after returning home, her sweet little face would light me up and make me forget my sorrows," said Xander.

"That is fine," said the old woman, "If these things will give you happiness, you deserve them in every respect for helping a poor helpless person like me. Go home, and each of you shall find exactly what you have wished for."

This took the brothers by surprise as they did not know about the woman's powers. Nevertheless, they took leave and returned home. But to behold, beside their cottage, there was a huge mansion with a doorman and other servants waiting outside! They greeted Samuel and ushered him in. At some distance, a yellow farmland showed itself. A ploughman came and announced that it belonged to Timothy. Timothy gasped. Just at that moment, a beautiful maiden approached Xander and coyly said that she was his wife. The brothers were beside themselves with joy at this new turn of events. They thanked their lucky stars and adapted to their new lifestyles.

The days passed and soon a year was over. The situation was however, now different for Samuel, Timothy and Xander. Samuel had grown tired of owning the mansion. He became lazy and did not supervise his servants into taking proper care of the mansion. Timothy, who had built a decent house next to his farmland, found it burdensome to plough the fields and sow seeds from time to time. Xander too, grew used to his beautiful wife and no longer found any joy in keeping her company. In short, all of them were unhappy again.

One day, the three of them met up and decided to visit the old woman at her home. "That woman has magical powers which turned our dreams into reality. However, since we are no longer happy, we must go and seek her help now. It is she who will be able to tell us the secret to attaining happiness," said Samuel.

When they came to the old woman, she was cooking stew in a pot. Greeting her, each of the brothers recounted how he had turned unhappy again. "Please tell us how we can once more be happy," said Timothy.

Old Woman"Well," replied the old woman. "It is all in your own hands. See, when each of you made his wish and it was granted, you were happy. However, happiness never lasts without a very important thing - content.
